What are the issues that can arise from a faulty a/c installation?

Most houses are equipped with A/C units that have the usual outside A/C compressors that are air cooled. A professional is needed for this type of A/C installation because the simplest little oversights can cost you a lot of money over time. First of all adequate cleared space is needed around the compressors to ensure that enough air flow is provided in order for the condenser coils to cool properly.

The situation of an A/C unit is of grave importance and most inexperienced persons will simply rest it on a plate near the wall outside and call it a day. Additionally, they will sometimes have the units leaning to the front or the back and placed way too close to the wall. Another thing that a non professional may not consider is how close your trees and shrubberies are to the unit that is being installed. These presumably irrelevant things that can be the difference between you saving money and spending a lot more than you had in your budget.

The fact is that all of the aforementioned hindrances may prevent the unit from receiving enough cool air for it to function as it should and the result of this negligence will more than likely shorten the life span of your compressor which will mean that an expensive replacement will be in order. It will also sooner or later result in a poor cooling system and as such your energy bill will be higher than you bargained for.

A/C installation is not a job for the boy next door; it should be done by a professional with credentials. This A/C installer / technician should not only be able to install the A/C unit properly, but should be able to advise you on the best air conditioners, the best placement for the units and even provide you with a few maintenance tips.  Often times home and apartment owners like to cram a bunch of units together in order to have enough of them fit in a small area to cool the entire building. It is understandable that spacing may sometimes be an issue, but anyone who knows how to perform a professional A/C installation should tell the client what is best or what to expect if the situation cannot be avoided. Let the client know that the lack of space and ventilation may mean a shorter life span for their A/C unit.

There are even more issues that can arise from a faulty installation where unlevel A/C units are concerned. This can lead to leaks in the refrigerant and the system will not be as efficient. It is best to consult with a true professional to have your A/C units installed.
